In most cases, this process removes the stain and significantly improves the appearance of the carpet. However, if the stain contains organic matter (for example pet urine, vomit, food proteins, or bacteria), traditional cleaners may not fully eliminate the microscopic residue deep in the carpet fibers or padding.

Because of this, odors may sometimes return after drying if the source of the contamination remains in the carpet backing or underlay.

Bio-Enzyme Treatment (Deep Odor Removal)

Bio-enzyme treatment works in a completely different way. Instead of simply cleaning or masking odors, enzymatic cleaners break down organic contamination at the molecular level.

Bio-enzymes contain natural bacteria and enzymes that actively digest organic matter, including:

• pet urine

• pet odor

• bacteria

• organic stains

• food residues

• biological waste

Once applied, the enzymes continue working until the organic material is fully decomposed into harmless components such as water and carbon dioxide.

This means the odor source is not covered or masked — it is biologically destroyed.
